The United States Most Popular Power Sports

From ATV dealers to snowmobiles for sale in Michigan and throughout the country to used boats for sale, there are many ways that you can participate in power sports here in the United States. Power sports have long been popular in this country, something that is evidenced by the sales from ATV dealers and snowmobile dealers. As a matter of fact, it has been found that more than 41,000 all terrain vehicles were sold from ATV dealers in the short two month span between January and March in the year of 2017 alone. In the years that have followed since, such numbers have remained quite impressive.

And though ATV dealers certainly play a hugely important role in the sale of power sports vehicles and equipment, snowmobile dealers are also important as well. In fact, there are well over one million registered snowmobiles to be found throughout the United States and more than half of a million in our neighbor to the north, Canada. Snowmobile sales continue to be impressive on a year to year basis, with more than 50,000 sold yearly in the United States and an additional 44,000 or so being sold in Canada. It is very clear to see that snowmobiling has a big impact, something that is further supported by the amount it contributes to our economies.

The contribution of snowmobiling to the economy of the United States is by and large the most pronounced when compared to other countries. Here in the United States alone, snowmobiling has been able to contribute up to $26 billion to our economy on an annual basis. Although snowmobiling doesn’t contribute quite so much to Canada’s economy, it still contributes at least $8 billion on this annual basis. And even places like Europe and Russia get $5 billion or so added to their yearly economy as a result of snowmobiling. And in the years that are ahead of us, snowmobiling is certainly something that is likely to remain prevalent and prominent in our lives as we know them, much in the same way that ATVs and ATV dealers are.

In addition to ATV dealers and snowmobile dealers, boat dealers also play a very important role indeed when it comes to our overall interest in such activities as mentioned above (and ones that are similar to them). After all, recreational boating is immensely popular, with more than 87 million people in this one country alone participating in some form of recreational boating on a yearly basis. And many included in this number will participate in recreational boating on a very regular basis as well (or at least in the parts of the year where the weather readily permits such activities).

This is a good thing, as the number of boats being sold for recreational boating purposes remains quite high. As a matter of fact, the sale of recreational boats alone generated more than $3.5 billion for the United States in the year of 2016 alone, let alone in they years that have followed since. Already, there are more than 15 million boats being used all throughout the United States. And as the vast majority of all Americans are able to access a navigable body of water just an hour or less away from their homes, the prominence of recreational boating is likely to remain impressive, much as the work of ATV dealers and snowmobile dealers have also been to withstand the test of time.

Of course, ATV dealers, boat dealers, and snowmobile dealers will all recommend a good deal of caution when participating in any given power sport. For instance, proper head protection is an absolute must for the riding of all terrain vehicles. Fortunately, ATV dealers often sell the helmets and proper protective wear that are necessary to keep from sustaining an injury – or lose your life, in serious circumstances – even if you were to get into an accident. The same can be said for snowmobiling or even certain forms of boating.

At the end of the day, power sports are very significant here in the United States. In the years that are ahead of us, they will remain so.
